The EXCITE Network facilitates multi-scale fundamental and applied research into Earth and planetary materials. How and why does the Earth work the way it does? We can stimulate ideas, assist you in using our network of imaging technology, connect you to other scientists, and set standards in open data science. These activities strengthen and extend the current implementation of microscopy for Earth-materials research.

‘We provide you with access to our electron and X-ray facilities and science teams, enabling ground-breaking research’

Applied research also plays a key role in the EXCITE Network. Utilizing knowledge of Earth materials will help to discover new resources, address the climate crisis with new pathways to CO2 and hydrogen storage, or lead to the discovery of new environmentally friendly mineral extraction technologies.

No matter what your Earth-materials research question is, we are here to help you to find an answer using the power of electron and X-ray microscopy.
