Workshop in Grenoble, France
Mon 22 – Wed 24 September 2025

Submit your abstract by 20th July 2025, registration closes 5 September 2025

EXCITE partner HZDR co-organises this workshop to bring together experts from various imaging modalities, such as X-rays, electrons and neutrons, and to present their applicability in material science.

The aim of this workshop is to present the different imaging modalities and their applications in a variety of domains of materials research. The different imaging modalities covered in this workshop include imaging methods using X-rays, neutrons, electrons and ions. X-ray tomography in particular will be a significant part of the plenary sessions and the focus of a training day.

This workshop is intended for researchers at all levels, working on materials sciences with topics not limited to the following:

  1. – 3D printing
  2. – Additive manufacturing
  3. – Metal recycling
  4. – Building materials
  5. – Bio-materials
  6. – Geo-materials
  7. – Energy materials (batteries, solar panels, catalyst)

The workshop is held at the European Synchrotron research facility, Grenoble, sponsored by the ReMade@ARI EU project (www.remade-project.eu) with the participation of DragonFly.
