Call for Proposals: Imaging or Data Processing

Looking for state-of-the-art imaging techniques or data processing to solve your research question? Look no further and grab the opportunity to access these for free in the extensive EXCITE Network. An impressive 36 imaging facilities are at your fingertips, ranging from electron & X-ray microscopy to atomic-resolution imaging. Now you can also opt for “Data processing only”, granting you access to cutting edge data processing software and expert advice.

IMPORTANT: This second call for proposals is open until November 29th. First contact with the facility or data managers must be made by October 31st. If you have not made that first contact yet, do this by November 8th at the latest. We encourage you to apply!

Cutting edge techniques and tools

The EXCITE Network unites 19 research institutes across 12 European and partner countries. From chemical analysis to crystallographic information, EXCITE has the tools to solve your research questions. These research institutes offer a range of techniques including Electron Microscopy, X-ray microscopy, Raman Spectroscopy, Atom Probe Tomography (APT), Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Nano-Secondary Ion Mass Spectroscopy (NanoSIMS). This ensures the exploration of both small and large samples at different resolutions. Find more information on the available techniques and the research institutes that offer them on the EXCITE website. Partners and funding

EXCITE brings together academia, industry and society to harness imaging techniques to solve research questions and sustainability challenges. In addition to transnational access to imaging facilities and data processing, the EXCITE Network also offers expertise, training and tools, to advance the field of imaging together. These endeavours are made possible by Horizon Europe funding.
