From April 1–3, 2025, members of the EXCITE Network gathered in Brno, Czech Republic, for the CEITEC Workshop on Multi-scale Imaging – a three-day event packed with hands-on sessions, knowledge exchange, and cross-sector collaboration.
The workshop opened with Industry Day, co-organised with Waygate Technologies. Participants took part in interactive sessions on the use of industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT), including practical demos and case studies showing how multi-scale CT is applied in real-world industrial settings.
The following Scientific Days (April 2–3) were focused on current challenges and innovations in multi-scale imaging within Earth and environmental sciences. Highlights included:
- A training session on Dragonfly & Avizo software for 3D image processing and segmentation
- Discussions around the integration of micro- and nano-scale imaging workflows
- Presentations by EXCITE Transnational Access (TA) users showcasing their research outcomes
- Introductions to new tools and facilities added to EXCITE
The event provided a valuable platform for researchers, imaging experts, and facility staff to exchange ideas, explore technical challenges, and build collaborations for future access and innovation in multi-scale imaging.
