Transnational Access

The EXCITE Network spans 19 state-of-the-art imaging facilities across 12 countries. It offers transnational access to a comprehensive range of advanced imaging techniques, including electron microscopy, X-ray tomography, Raman spectroscopy, atom probe tomography, laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and nano-secondary ion mass spectrometry. These techniques enable detailed chemical and structural characterization of Earth and Environmental materials down to the atomic scale. EXCITE continually strives to improve and expand its network to ensure researchers have access to the latest, leading-edge imaging equipment.

Activities

The EXCITE Network actively supports the Earth and Environmental materials research community by listing and participating in conferences, events, workshops, and webinars focused on advanced imaging. Additionally, EXCITE organizes its own events and maintains a presence at global conferences to engage with researchers and share knowledge. The network promotes open, free-of-charge access to its cutting-edge imaging facilities for users from all backgrounds and career stages, supporting pioneering research in Earth and Environmental materials sciences.
